Fun Facts:

1. That's one of my few 2-3~ posts in that forums and I've never been warned in it.

-----------

2. Bypassing a word filter looks like this: Shìt

While NOT bypassing and being compliant with forum rules & Code of Conduct looks like this: Sh*t

Also known as a censored word, an incomplete word, a beeped word.

-----------

3. My last irrelevant "warning" on this account was a false spam flag two months ago in an irrelevant forum that involved me linking a relevant, informative article in a discussion:

#Feelsgoodman when they do a free weekend, allowing me to write a review for it without buying the ♥♥♥♥.

My GPU may also be dying, so if i disappear or go silent for a very long time, that'd be why.

As a community member has now managed to fix a plethora of issues plaguing the technological flaming turd of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ known as Monster Hunter: World which they have still failed to do:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/582010/discussions/3/1745594817439431537/

This includes: Fixing crashes, fixing stutters, fixing inexcusable blurry-as-♥♥♥♥ graphics AND fixing the autistic constant 99.9% CPU usage undoubtedly brought on by Denuvo (EXACT same excessive loads as observed in Assassin's Creed: Origin)

This is some stuff you need to use at your own risk, however, as it pokes around in the game files, sorta. While Monster Hunter: World has no anti-cheat protection (VAC included) to speak of, there will always be that risk of cuckolding developers &/ producers.

In other news, there are now sample sizes of benchmark proof that Denuvo does indeed affect a game's performance, even with high-end hardware:

Steam's latest UI update is not great

Ontop of being riddled with memory leaks, it REQUIRES itself to run through Steam's dysfunctional, unreliable buggy "webhelper" browser that has a 30% of imploding any point in time when you're browsing which will kill your ability to talk to your friends if it does.

If you haven't updated, do not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do so, dear god.

If you have, go to a Steam.exe shortcut properties and type this in:

-nochatui -nofriendsui

Like this:

And then reboot Steam.

EDIT: Fix has been patched and rendered unusuable.

Thread in question (that wasn't created by me), that's now merged with like 50 others to create an unintelligble mess:

As this curation service becomes bigger, I'm starting to see a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of people complaining about certain things (without ever actually telling me it or posting on our forums/giving feedback/critique, making it hard to improve to say the least) around the web, particulary on Reddit.

One of the more repeated things is the part where i write "reviews" for games that are not yet released to the public. A gross majority of these are as you've probably seen, "premature" Denuvo warnings. I'm well aware on how it might look but this is not something i intended to do when starting out or even something i want to do. It was a thing born out of necessity as the gaming industry started developing a disturbing trend of purposefully withholding their EULA's & constantly dodging the question on whether or not their game would have Denuvo after seeing the huge amounts of refunds and public backlash it generates which puts me into a tight bind:

Do i continue posting "Has Denuvo" warnings before games are released (I've never been wrong so far) or do I hold off? Vote below and let me know what you think.

----

P.S: I forgot to mention that if i'm ever wrong about a game not having Denuvo, the review is promptly deleted and/or replaced/updated with something else. Obviously.

I'm also guilty of making other types of early warning reviews that aren't Denuvo related. One of these was for "Surviving Mars" by Paradox Interactive, where i was spot on in my prediction that the game would launch in an incredibly buggy & unfinished state while also being flooded afterwards with DLC's.

Another one was Berserk and the Band of the Hawk by KOEI TECMO. They're notorious for making awful console ports and that one was no different. To this day, there's no warning on the store page about you literally NEEDING a controller as you can't even move the camera using your mouse.

Let me know what you think of these as well.

Another developer admitting denuvo ♥♥♥♥♥ on game performance

And denuvo have been telling us all this time this simply wasn't the case, even after SEGA, another developer admitted that they had to go out of their way to deal with Denuvo's performance impacts in their FAQ:

It's almost like they're LYING!

Valve just got owned in Court.. Again.

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/04/20/australia-fines-valve-over-steam-refunds/

Following the years of Steam becoming increasingly greedy after the kickstart of Mann-Conomy (back in 2010), they got so much attention for being scummy that the Australian government (Australian Competition Consumer Commission), after thousands upon thousands of complaints, decided to investigate them back in 2014.

The result back then? Valve argued they weren't selling any goods. Only "services". Once Valve's lawyers were done huffing paint, the court dismissed this fairyland claim and ordered them to pay their deserved penalty of 3 million $.

Valve being the entitled, kicking and screaming children that they are decided to escalate their claim to the Full Federal Court of Australia and they got hit by the revolving door so fast, they may not as well have bothered entering the building.

The introduction of Steam's 2 hour refund policy was made by their hand being forced, legally speaking. It was not an act of kindness for their customers & fans.

Valve has never been and never will be the good guy.
